UBC Proposal to Present at Wildlife Habitat Council Annual Symposium Accepted
(6/4/2014 1:27:00 PM)

The Wildlife Habitat Council’s Annual Symposium: Celebrating Corporate Conservation will feature a presentation on the Upper Blackfoot Confluence: A Conservation Partnership.

The symposium, which will be held in Baltimore, Maryland, on November 10-11, 2014, favored submissions that highlighted “programs that connect habitat projects, practices that connect people to nature, or examples of connecting with partners to create conservation success.”

Facilitator Keith Allred and Director of Restoration Projects Warren Colyer will discuss the unusually positive partnership forged between the mining companies and conservation groups that were committed to restoring the premier trout habitat of the Upper Blackfoot River.

Their presentation will be part of a panel on Biodiversity Protection Strategies.
